MANILA, Philippines — A magnitude 4.3 earthquake struck the waters off Hinatuan town in Surigao del Sur on Tuesday morning, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) reported.
The state seismologist said that the magnitude 4.3 tectonic tremor occurred at 7:42 a.m. on Tuesday, and its epicenter was 98 kilometers east of Hinatuan town. It had a shallow depth of seven kilometers.
