MANILA, Philippines — Associate Justice Fernanda Lampas-Peralta is the new chief of the Court of Appeals (CA), the Presidential Communications Office (PCO) said Tuesday.
According to the PCO, President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. appointed Peralta as presiding justice of CA and administered the oath of office to her at the Malacañan Palace on Monday, November 18.
Article continues after this advertisementBefore her appointment, Peralta served as acting presiding justice of CA for two months, following the mandatory retirement of then-presiding Justice Remedios Salazar Fernando in September 2023.
